Colonels_Wear_Blue
Per Hopkinsville's Twitter, the Tigers have 7 returning starters on defense: DE - Tyler Jones 6’3" 230lb Junior DT - Donyea Welch 6’2" 275lb Senior DT - Tahj Manning 6’1" 280lb Senior OLB - CJ Walton 5’11" 185lb Senior CB - Zahnte Brown 6’2" 200lb Senior Safety - Ventrial Baker 5’7" 150lb Senior Safety - Daisjuan Mercer 5’9" 150lb Sophomore

ATLCat
Reese Jesse is a bad, bad dude. IMHO, perhaps the most underrated prospect in KY for this season.
Colonels_Wear_Blue
Reese Jesse is a bad, bad dude. IMHO, perhaps the most underrated prospect in KY for this season. Yep, he and Mercer were both on the AP All-State team last season. Jesse was 2nd team, and Mercer was 1st team - as a freshman. Reece Jesse is one of 9 starters the Tigers have back for 2020. That list includes basically their whole O-line. RB - Jayden Dillard 6’0" 200lbs Junior RB - Isaya Brooks 5’11" 180lbs Senior WR - Reece Jesse 6’3" 200lbs Senior WR - Ryan Myers 5’9" 155lbs Senior TE - Lane Rushing 6’1" 205lbs Senior OL - William ughes 6’0" 250lbs Junior OL - Zach Trice 6’0" 270lbs Senior OL - Justin Banks 6’0" 250lbs Senior OL - Brandon McCarley 5’11" 205lbs Senior
Colonels_Wear_Blue
So Hoptown was 8-4 last season, with two losses to Madisonville-North Hopkins. They return 16 of 22 starters. They need to replace a graduated QB and only have one starter returning from the linebacking corps. Checking the stats from 2019, the only other QB with varsity playing time was freshman Jacob Bealle. So are they looking at a sophomore starter? WKY_Football
The scuttlebutt from this area is they had a 6’3 QB who went to middle school in Hopkinsville but moved to Florida the summer of his freshman year that moved back in December that they are awaiting eligibility on. Heard he was raw but had a cannon arm. Him plus the rising sophomore QB will battle it out for the starting job whenever things can start back is what I’ve heard. Who knows how accurate that is. Also heard some news about a potential QB relocating from the area to a 3A school in WKY... All rumors at this point. District 1 in class 4A is going to be a chore again for all teams it looks like. I also look for Christian County to be much improved this year with Trigg County taking a step back. I think Caldwell County will make a good run this year. They have their best incoming freshman class maybe ever from what people have says in Princeton.

Colonels_Wear_Blue
New schedule. Hoptown couldn't re-schedule with Mayfield...that's definitely a bummer. McCracken County added into the mix. Currently at an 8 game regular season, and they're undoubtedly hoping to figure out a 9th. Colonels_Wear_Blue
The Bowling Green game is canceled on Nov 6. Since Hoptown is quarantining this week and next, they are rescheduling their district game against Madisonville-North Hopkins for Nov 6. No word as of yet about Logan County.
