Who are the top defensive linemen in Kentucky for 2020?

Recommended Posts

This was a tough group to round up names for. Right now, no one has garnered the type of hype and recruiting momentum that we've seen from others in recent years, such as Jacob Lacy (Notre Dame), Stephen Herron (Stanford), or Octavious Oxendine (UK).

Nevertheless, work ethic and production are still in abundance at this position. Below are a few trench warriors to get us started.

Darion Dearinger - Anderson County

6'3", 260 lbs

2019: 60 tackles/10 sacks/27 TFL

Offers from Marshall, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Miami (OH), and Army, among others

Darion Dearinger Junior Yr Highlights - Darion Dearinger highlights - Hudl

Alton Jefferson - Trinity

6'0", 250 lbs

Offer from Indiana State

Dominated last year's 6A title game with 3.5 sacks against Male.

Junior Year Highlights - Alton Jefferson Jr. highlights - Hudl

Logan Weedman - Apollo

6'5", 240 lbs

2019: 41 tackles/12 sacks/24 TFL

Possible offensive tackle at the next level, but he's a disruptive force on defense with FBS offers from UK and WKU.

Junior Season #55/#88 OL/DL/LS - Logan Weedman highlights - Hudl

Sebastian Lawrence - Murray

6'1", 270 lbs

2019: 95 tackles/8 sacks/26 TFL/3 forced fumbles

Offers from Murray State and Southern Illinois

Sebastian Lawrence - Sebastian Lawrence highlights - Hudl

Romarion Warner - Frederick Douglass

6'2", 275 lbs

2019: 44 tackles/4.5 sacks/17 TFL

Offer from Morehead State

Jr. Season - Romarion Warner highlights - Hudl

Tommy Ziesmer, Boyle County DE

Sophomore in 2020.

According to coaches he has the tools to be the best D Lineman ever at Boyle. Pretty high goal.

P.S. Just saw the initial post. Not sure if you were only talking incoming Seniors in the title. If so, please disregard my post. :thumb:

Any and all grades are welcome as long as you feel the player is truly worthy of being mentioned here among the best. Zeismer is a great addition to this thread and will probably be a centerpiece of this conversation for the next couple of years.

Peiffer, who has been listed at 6-4/215, has three D-III offers according to twitter: Centre, Milsaps, Mount St. Joseph.

Phillip is a little bigger now, last year he was playing soccer and football! All season. He has changed his plan this year and decided to be football only in the fall.
