The Covington Catholic Colonels (29-5) will take on the West Jessamine Colts (21-11) in the eighth game of the Whitaker Bank/KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen® Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 19th at Lexington's Rupp Arena.

Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00pm.

Will CovCath be able to contain DeAjuan Stepp? Doesn't look like he shoots a lot of 3 point shots. How tall is Stepp?

Mr. Stepp will not pose a problem for CCH.

Stepp is around 6"3. He's an explosive athlete, and great in transition going coast to coast. He's not a great 3 point shooter, but has a solid pull-up game. In my opinion, he's the best athlete in 12th Region.

I will disagree slightly. Will he run roughshod over them? No. Will he put up some points. Yes.

Stepp will get about 12 to 16. If West has any shot at all, they will need Winter and two others to also get into that range. That will be a tall order.

If Stepp finishes with only 12-16, I think CCH handles them by double digits fairly easy. He's a very nice player, and in this tournament, the teams best player has to step up. I have the Colonels by 14.
