Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and the State Tournament

Recommended Posts

Anyone concerned that next week will be canceled for fans?

I only ask, because of the number of changes that are being made across the country to different events where large numbers gather.

I am sure we have all seen those announcements.

The hysteria is real and I am concerned that I will be missing my first State Tournament since the 1980's -- a time way before face masks and sanitizer.

"Hysteria" is an accurate word to describe it in all honesty. It's something to be cautioned about for sure, but to drop everything were doing across the country because of it is just absurd.

I would think an empty arena would cripple the KHSAA financially and they will do anything possible to keep fans coming to RUPP. However by next week, with the number of other cancellations the KHSAA may not have a choice but to fall in line.
