The 10th Region Tournament kicks off in Winchester on Wednesday night with a rematch of the Class A Championship game back in January, which saw Mike Code's Mustangs outlast Patrick Kelsch's Black Devils 72-64 in Mt. Olivet.

That loss was the last time Robertson County ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard. The 38th District Champions enter the Regional Tournament on an 11-game winning streak & are paced by one of the states's top scorers in versatile sophomore forward Justin Becker (25.8 ppg). Junior guard Sebastian Dixon, who dropped 30 points in the District Title game, averages 11.5 ppg.

Bishop Brossart comes into the Tournament as runners-up of the 37th District. Senior forward Ethan Eilerman leads the team in scoring at 20.1 ppg, and a pair of junior guards--Carson Schirmer (14.8 ppg) & Stephen Verst (12.6 ppg)--provide ample back court strength for the Mustangs.

Who wins this tourney opener? Can Robertson avenge the Class A loss, or will Brossart move on to the semifinals?

I attended the game the last time these two played. RC dug themselves into a big hole and couldn't climb out, I don't think that will happen this time. It will be a tight game, but RC wins.

This one could go either way.

I think the Mustangs post a hard fought W.

@Mustang I will have your Ale-8 :thumb:

OK, I'll hold you to that.

I look forward to visiting.

I believe I heard this correctly.

The last time Robertson Count won a regional tournament game was in 1939.

Did you not attend that year?

Should be a good one, but I see Brossart outlasting Robertson by 5.

Did you not attend that year?

No. I gave my daughter my tournament tickets that year.
