I've been waiting for Part 2 to be released to share. Interested to see what you guys think.

I agree with a ton of what that guys said but Tony at #9 feels way to high. Parvati also feels high at #8. He is such a wildcard and she is so damn dangerous.

Natalie at #11 or #12 felt a little low.

Feels like he nailed the bottom 5 and the top 5.

Those are pretty much my thoughts too.

One team took out a so-called big target in Amber and the other took out a perceived weak target in Natalie. Completely different dynamics on the two teams.

Natalie isn't remotely a perceived weak target. Outside of Rob and Amber, she had the second strongest partnership entering the game and you could probably argue that since they were on the same tribe, she had the strongest once the game started. Combine that with the fact that she is easily the strongest female and has shown to be a good strategist, calling her a weak target just isn't true.

If you broke down the 20 players as far as target goes, she couldn't have been in the bottom half.

A few thoughts:

I love that Rob and Parvati started the game working together and both easily dodged the first boot. Them joking about it on the beach was great. I obviously don't have all the information but I think Rob and Parvati would have been better off going after Adam instead of Natalie. Maybe part of that is because I'm just not an Adam fan, but I feel like I'd have taken him out if I'm them, I'd want to keep Jeremy with them, but they also alienated Michelle. If they vote for Adam, the only person upset is Denise and it seems like she would have seen it coming.

Ben is out of his league haha! Watching Rob work his magic on him was great. So glad Rob came back and he at least made it past the first week.

Danni handled all that really well in my opinion. I hope she works with Rob and Parvati and the three of them stay safe for a while.

Had me worried a little bit when the 2nd tribe started talking about Tyson and then Kim. I didn't want to lose either of them that early. I'm glad it wound up being Amber.

Yul coming in hot the first night and it was great to see. As for the producers, that was the first time in 40 seasons that they showed footage of something between contestants that happened outside of the game and I felt like it was a great choice by them. I think I like Yul and Sohpie as a pair.

I swung and missed big time on Natalie. A little worried about Jeremy now, but maybe he will be better off without being viewed as a "Power Couple". I think the producers did the two of them a disservice by putting them on the same tribe.

I'm intrigued by the fire tokens. I'm waiting for a player that is still in the game to use them as a bargaining chip to "buy" favor/loyalty with an alliance or what not before a tribal. Obviously that's not the intent the producers had but I feel like its bound to happen, unless there is some rule I don't know about.

I read Dalton Ross' recap last night and I think I'm going to try to every week. A few tidbits that didn't make the show that I found interesting:

The champagne toast took forever because many players were extremely skeptical and thought it was some trick to start the game.

The first challenge with the ring was actually a best of five. However, to save time, they actually cut two of the rounds because they were so quick and so dominate by one of the tribes that it wasn't worth showing. I thought it was strange that the same players were right back in the water in the rounds that we saw, but that's why.

Both Ben & Rob spent time in the voting booth looking for clues under the urn, relics on the shelves and etc. Love it.

Apparently Sarah had some type of moment where she went off on her own upset about something on the 2nd day. They weren't sure if it was game related or just the emotion of being out there hit her early.

Apparently Tony went off quite a bit in Tribal after some things Amber said, which included something about not liking how Tony plays. And Sandra came to Tony's defense. I am interested to see how long Sandra and Tony work together.

Richard Hatch put a video out saying that he and Tina (Season 2) were both supposed to be on this season. He got a call two days before flying out, telling him he wasn't going to be on the show.

I wish Richard had made it, this season would have been better.

I'd imagine that with everything that happened in Season 39, they thought it would be best to keep their distance from Richard Hatch right now. I mean, during All-Stars he did sort of grind his junk (while naked) on Sue in the middle of a challenge. The next day (I think) Sue quit the game because she was so upset emtionally that she was violated.

As for Tina, I was listening to Rob C's podcast this morning and she was the guest. She said that she did receive a call, asking if she would be interested in playing. She said that casting didn't tell her the theme, but that they were considering 3 different themes for season 40 and they were considering her for one of the themes. I can't imagine what theme they would have wanted her for besides All Winners.

I think Tina's age may have kept her out. She turns 60 this year. Oldest on Season 40 is Denise at 48 (and she might be one of the most physically fit ones out there) and the average is probably more around 35ish. Maybe they are planning some pretty physical challenges, or maybe with Edge of Extinction they were weary of her age.
