Tigers led almost the entire game. Cooper got it down to 3 once in the third quarter then the Tigers quickly got it back up to 10.

Who was it?

Cooper's best player in this game was #5 Gavin Rabe. He probably had 12-14 points. I don't think anyone else for Cooper scored in double digits. Solid player. Good handle. Can hit an open 3 and good for his size attacking the basket.

Cooper is always well coached and great effort so it is always good to get a win over them. However, at this point it is hard to tell if this was a nice win or not. Cooper is 0-4 right now. They have played 4 good teams so we have to consider that, but 0-4 is 0-4.

 

On the Beechwood side, it looks like the Tigers have worked their way through the early season roster change well and are moving forward. They have talent and depth. Shooting needs to improve. That should happen as the season moves forward and all the new starters get more in sync with each other. With Bieger leaving, the Tigers are now without 5 of their top 6 players from last year. That is a lot to replace for anyone, especially a small school like Beechwood. The Tigers should get a lot better as the season moves along.

Seriously? Rabe came into last night shooting 23% (10-44) from the floor. He averaged 8.9 points last season. And his team lost by nine last night.

 

The other team’s player came in averaging 24.5 per game, averaged around that last season, and had 27 points last night and carried his team to a win.

 

Rabe is a nice player but under no circumstances was he the best player on the floor last night...and it’s not close.

 

I get being a fan but c’mon.

Is there more to basketball than scoring? All we hear about if a player has 25 points but if you notice most the time people won’t say he was 6-25 shooting and 8-12 from the line all you hear is 25 points. People also don’t mention he had 6 turnovers or on Defense he couldn’t stay in front of a 50 year old man So they won’t say he had 25 but he gave up 20 because of his defense and he had 6 turnovers and this is not directed towards Draud in any way I think the kid is a great player. @BrosefStalin I never said Rabe.
