Sugar Bowl: LSU vs. Notre Dame

Im a Notre Dame fan, but I know If some other team had got beat by 20 twice in a season there would be no way I would want to see that team in a BCS bowl. It was really just the name that got Notre Dame in, but I not complaining because this means my team is in a BCS bowl, and hopefully they can actually pull off a win finally against a big time football school...

How do you think Wafe Forest would do against Michigan or USC? And Boise State?

I definitely don't think Notre Dame is the least deserving team to get a BCS bid.

I think it's comical that everyone is writing off Notre Dame already. Notre Dame will win this game and Brady Quinn will have a huge game. By the way, with comparison's to Osu's team last year and LSU this year:

Offense:

OSU > LSU (by a lot)

Defense:

OSU> LSU

I don't recall where OSU ranked last year but it couldn't have been much better than this year's LSU defense. The Tigers are #2 in total defense this year. The #4 scoring defense in the country. They also feature the #3 passing defense in the nation which should come in handy since the Irish can't rush the football. Meanwhile the Tigers stack up pretty well against the Irish on offense believe it or not. The Tigers are #18 in total offense while the Irish are #22. LSU ranks #10 in scoring offense while ND comes in at #12. The vaunted ND passing attack is a mere two spots ahead of LSU at #10 and #12. BTW, the Irish are a sad #76 in rushing offense. I would be willing to bet that Russell's QB rating is better than Quinn. I think the outcome of this game will be all LSU in front of a very loud, very purple home crowd at the Super Dome. I'd love to see the Tigers treat the Irish like they did the Hurricanes last year.
