St.X beat Bowling Green in scrimmage 80-60. Both teams were without guys still playing football so wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock in this, but still better to be on winning side with what players were there.

Trinity has a lot to replace. It will be tough to stay in top 3 of region with a lot of unproven players needing to contibute in a big way!

In Courier Journal 7th region team capsules, St.X Coach Kevin Klein states that Soph Guard Mekhi Smith will be in running for 2022 Mr. Basketball award. That is some high praise! I’ve never heard him say that about a player before.

Mekhi Smith is a very talented player. His development is one of the keys to St. X's success this season. I am looking forward to watching him play this year.

Male basketball star Fleming narrows college decision to three schools

Howard Fleming to miss 1st part of season due to shoulder surgery per this article linked above. Should return sometime in January. Tough break for a guy who missed some of last year due to injury. Male is still deep and will still win a lot of games without him.

Howard Fleming signed with Illinois State this week. Hope he recovers quickly and gets back on the floor.

Saw on St.X hudl page video highlights of Oldham County scrimmage. It had St.X winning 68-60.

I went Oldham County hudl page and they had highlights of St.X scrimmage. Oldham County won 62-61. Mekhi Smith didn’t play for St.X.

Bump.
