Jacksonville travels Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. I don’t know why (they’ve done nothing to make me think they will) but I think the Bengals will get their first win. What does everyone think?

For a team that can't score, they are playing a real good defense. Josh Allen will have three sacks. But on the other hand, Jags can't score either.

That’ll change this week!!

Cincinnati 24-20.

We don't want to win guys!!!!!

I agree. I'm usually not a fan of tanking, but it needs to happen. Get a top 3 pick in each round and just hope like heck they actually hit on these picks for the first time in awhile.

Yep, the last 3-4 years drafting has been AWFUL, which is a major reason we’re watching what we’re watching!

At this point it’s a waste if they don’t.

Why would we want the top pick? Major league bucks eating up salary pool for a player that would get injured and hardly play a down next season. Is there such a thing as "bad Bengal draft mojo"?

Top picks in the draft don't eat up money like they did years ago. In fact if you get it right and find that franchise qb in the 1st round. That is when teams are at their best because they have a franchise qb for cheap on a rookie contract and could build around them. A top pick of a qb would be a lot cheaper than what they pay Dalton now.

As you said though he probably would get hurt anyways lol.

Rule 13

This should be the least likely chance for the Bengals to win a game this entire season. Truly, despite facing the Jaguars, the Bengals should have no chance of winning today. Let's look at the injured players the Bengals were counting on at the the start of training camp who are out for this game:

Out - A.J. Green, William Jackson, Dre Kirkpatrick, Carl Lawson, Carlos Dunlap, John Ross, Cordy Glenn, OG John Miller, DT Ryan Glasgow, backup CB Darius Phillips, OT Jonah Williams, OG Clint Bolling, Andre Smith.

Also dealing with injury are S Shawn Williams (likely to play) and OG Michael Jordan (not expected to play).

So we have that list of players out or playing hurt. The Bengals have the worst rushing defense in the NFL and they are facing Leonard Fournette and a Jaguars team who will almost certainly spend the afternoon trying to run it down the Bengals gut.

Mentally, this team has to be at an absolute low point on all fronts. What a challenge it is today in the face of 0-6, turmoil in the locker room and all the injuries. How do players convince themselves they can win this game in the face of all that?

Despite being at home, the Bengals probably have the worst home field support in the NFL right now. The stadium may have more empty seats than full. The fans will be quick to boo. Heck, more than half the fans probably hope the Bengals do lose to solidify their high draft choice slot. Does anyone think the Bengals can win today?

Which makes me think that it would be so NFL for the Bengals to get their first win today. Yep, I have this gnawing feeling that today the Bengals get win #1.

Well the Jaguars have ran 3 plays so far and gained 41 yards. That’s not bad.

Boy the stadium looks only about 25-30% filled. A very light crowd.

That’s why the Bengals can’t wins a tackle would have been able to catch that. Unreal!

Pick 6 right in your hands and drop it, we’re right on our normal track!!
