I didn't give a good example, what I was trying to point out was that if we just heard the words and did not see who made them it would not matter who said them they would have been fired....I absolutely think he offended people. ESPN has been quick to roast others for this type of behavior. Has anyone seen coverage on the four letter on this this week I have been working and have not watched ESPN this week. All I see today is about Mike ....Strahan that is, not one mention of Irvin today that I have seen.

This idiotic remark led to his firing as a "commentator" at CBS, where he was in the business of predicting winners and losers from a bettor's perspective. Jimmy (The Greek) Snyder was ejected from the public eye in 1988 when, on Martin Luther King's birthday, he said that blacks are better at sports because of slave plantation breeding techniques. "During the slave period, the slave owner would breed his big black with his big woman so that he would have a big black kid–that's where it all started." No. IMO the words are almost an exact copy.
November 30, 200619 yr I actually was driving and listened to the interview live. In Irvin's defense, these comments are not considered offensive much in our society. You will never hear about something like this in the news. Also if you listen to the show when Irvin comes on, its not very serious. They were joking around and Irvin went a little too far, but he said something that someone would probably say to maybe their buddies, not to listeners all over the country.

No, really. Now that Ben Wallace is ramming his back into a fork at warp speed, Lee is the third-best rebounder alive behind Dwight Howard and KG. There hasn't been a white guy who rebounded like this since Dave Cowens. Seriously. You can look it up. Please don't bring this up to Michael Irvin.

I think it was something racial as well, but cannot recall.
