Taft near the Beechwood 20 with 8:14 to go.

Beechwood breaks up a Taft 4th down pass in the end zone. Tigers take over about their own 13.

Tigers with a good pass play down to the Taft 43. About 5:30 to go.

Taft intercepts Hergott on fourth down inside their own 40. About 4 minutes left.

Taft gets a couple of first downs and is able to run out the clock.

 

Final Score Taft 7 Beechwood 3.

Impressed with that Taft team. Had some good athletes and big dudes. I thought Beechwood would pull it out in 2nd half but just couldn’t get it done. Good defensive effort by Beechwood.

Tip of the cap to Taft’s coaching staff. Not easy to come into Beechwood and win like that.
