Since Beatty's been coach the combined score is 132-12, or 44-4.

I don't think Thursday's score will be 44-4, but something like 42-6! Of course, that would hurt the average!

I'm suprised CCH has only played BG once. I thought they have had a couple meetings.

These are only playoff meetings. They might have met in the regular season, but I don't have those figures.

I believe that playoff game was the only time CovCath and BG have played.

Heck of game too. BG driving late to tie/take the lead when they run out of time inside the 10.

Wow these stats are very lopsided to one team.

I must admit that this stat makes me nervous. At some point, NCC will come out on the winning side in this matchup. Just hope this isn't the year.:D

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. The first time they met in the playoffs most, if not all the kids playing this year weren't around or were in diapers. The last time they met, this year's seniors were in the seventh grade.

As irrevelant stats go, this one is high on the list.

I actually think that stat would work to NCC favor.

For motivation factors, which works better? "They've never beaten us" OR "We've never beaten them" I'm thinking the "we've never beaten them" is a bigger motivator.

One must remember that the only bearing that previous meetings have on a current game is intimidation or motivation. I dont think that any one of these two factors will affect NCC or Danville. This Ryle team lost to Trinity badly when they were sophmores, but they are not the type of team to be intimidated this season. With the record that they have had against NKY football teams, I think that this might come into play with BG against Cov, mostly because I think doubt will be transfered through their coaching staff.

If you need to be motivated for a State Championship game you lost before you take the field!

BG is 1-1 against N.Ky teams in championship games losing to Cov Cath 24-21 in 94 and beating Highlands 28-12 in 95. The Purples were smacked by a Lexington team.....or is that considered N. KY now?
