I think it is a close choice between them and Highlands. In fact, as I think about it a little more, I will amend my rankings and flip flop Highlands and Simon Kenton, making Highlands 2 and SK 3. I see similarities between those two. Both have questions at QB. Both have good defenses. Both have a defensive player that will be among the best in the area. I'll flip flop them because of Highlands' big win over SK last year.

I look for Highlands to be 21+ points better than SK again this year. The question at QB for HHS is just for the first couple games due to injury. There is NO debate over who the QB for HHS will be and how talented he is. The question is will he be ready week 1 or week 3. Birds are BY FAR the 2nd best team in NKY. It's CCH, HHS, and then a big drop to SK, Ryle, Cooper, and Beechwood. The season will play that out.

It was very interesting listening to the preview show done by Beechwood Sports Radio Network. Coach Rash spoke very openly about how the team has definitely not yet played to their full potential because a lot of the current players are still acclimating to being "the guys under the lights". He sounds completely confident in their potential, and said he's just following the formula set our by Coach Barre and Coach Yeagle. Not a bad formula to follow.

I am sure this list will be different next week. The first week always turns heads. Kids grow in stature, maturity and ability.
