This was a great game. CCH has some great fans that can make some noise. I would like to attend a CCH home game. CCH went into the locker room at the half and made some adjustments. JC was 1 dimensional, and CCH took care of business.

That was a great hit, but Josh is no little kid himself. He is listed as 6'2" 195 and knowing the young man and after watching him play baseball (you want to see a kid throw a fastball WOW) he is that size, and I am not surprised at all with his speed..... Great athletic, and he will go D1 just because of his punting ability....Josh can certainly punt the ball better than any high school kid that I have seen......and with his arm, and the ability to hold for a PK, he will be a college D1 Coaches dream....

Glad to hear the young man from Johnson Central is OK. We were worried when we saw him go down. The fans from Johnson Central are first class and I am glad we made the trip. Their announcer at the game did a great job for both schools, food was great, people were friendly, and a great atmosphere for a high school football game.

First of all, Im just glad to hear that Shawn is up and walking cause it looked very bad on the field. Hope that Blake is okay as well, can someone give us an update on his injury?

Now to the game. Cov. Catholic is a great team and played an excellent game tonight. They were clearly the better team no one can dispute that. They were alot if woulda, coulda's in this game, but I honestly believe had Blake been healthy throughtout this game would have been much closer and JC may have been able to pull it out. But like I said that is just my opinion.

JC, you played a great game and are a reflection of what hard work and determination can earn you. You made me and this community so proud with what you accomplished this season and the way you carried yourself throughout the season. This team is still very young so this is not a one a done thing, we will be back and are here to stay.

Now as far as the comments Matney supposedly made. No one for sure knows that he said it, but their were alot of emotions after a lose like this one. Personally if he said it, I tend to believe he was just caught up in the heat of the moment, I mean his young RB Grim was still in the game late(but if you know this kid, he wouldnt want to be taken out of the game) and was hurt and looked to be hurt badly, and possibly he felt somewhat responsible for the injury, causing him to say somethings maybe he shouldnt have. We let live with Cov. Cath's announcers remarks, so think about that before critizing us on what was said, just like there's was out of the heat of the moment.

Wow great game, its good to hear grimm was alright I hate to see JC lose. They treated CCH fans very well down there, and both teams really repected each other great thing to see. Way to go COLONELS, bring it home baby

Thee 2 teams played with great class. I hated to see JC lose. They had a great season, and good luck to those seniors!

Almost forgot, the banner I saw heading into town: "Welcome Colonels To The Middle Of Nowhere". Somebody in Johnson County has a good sense of humor...

That's awesome. I bet Mark Wehry and Jason Elfers laughed their rear ends off at that one.

First of all I want to congratulate Cov. Cath. on a great game. They were the better team and deserved to win. I think our losing Blake Johnson really hurt us, more so on defense than offense. I don't think it was enough to win the game, but we could have kept it closer.

I would like to thank the Colonel fans for all of the nice things that have been said about the people, facilities and atmosphere for the game. We have worked very hard to make it enjoyable for everyone.

Beginning next week the old stadium that you enjoyed will be coming down and construction will begin on a new stadium, locker rooms, indoor practice facility and Field Turf surface. It will also have seating on both sides of the field. I will post pictures occasionally to keep everyone updated.

I look forward to meeting your team again, maybe next year for a regional title in 5A. I think a commitment has been made to make JC a player in high school football and I think we are definately moving in the right direction. Great job this year Eagles! You played a great game and have nothing to hang your head about. As for the seniors, we love you guys and are definately going to miss you.

If we do see you guys next year we're not going to take it easy on you like we did last night!

Good luck next week in the state championship!:thumb:

Very very classy post. JC has not a single thing to hang their heads about and best of luck to them next year. Field turf and an indoor practice facility are really something to look forward to and I hope to make that drive again next year. Also really enjoyed reading all of the signs on the road to the stadium. Best of luck next year!

JC fans always show class. Congratulations to JC on a great year and good luck to CCH.

What exactly constitues an "indoor practice facility" at JC next season?

They have always had one of the state best baseball stadiums , but I believe they are supposed to get a brand new baseball facility next year too from what I am hearing.
