Campbell County coach Beau Menefee has stepped down from coaching the Lady Camels after five seasons. His five year stretch was the most successful five year period in Campbell County girls history! Best of luck to Coach Menefee in his next endeavor!

Ok now I'm really curious. What would prompt Campbell Co. to ask him to step down? Opening post said his 5 year run was the most successful 5 years the school has ever seen.

He made the decision to step down on his own. He was not asked to do so. I know there is a health issue his family is dealing with.

Great run with the Camels for Coach Menefee.

Any potential replacements here? Or is that too soon to consider?

I hope that he left on his own because he did a good job there. Whoever they hire will have some big shoes to fill.

There could be things I’m not aware of but from what I’ve heard from folks is that he stepped down on his own. Some outside of Alexandria might not care for his style and passion but within Camelland it was embraced.

He was in the running for the Ryle boys job, which supposedly is going to Keaton Belcher.
