Duke 77 UCF 76 (NCAA Tournament Round 2)

Featured Replies

I’m still annoyed they won, but only because I want my team to win the title and Duke is the primary obstacle to that.

This was everyone’s chance to get the favorite out and UCF crapped themselves.

Man I am so grateful that you admit this. At the end of the day this is everyone’s truth. They want someone else to do their dirty work for them. Even better if it is a lower seeded team.

And I’m not saying Kentucky can’t beat Duke or I would be upset if they ended up playing for the title, I would just like Kentucky’s chances a hell of a lot better if it were, well, anyone other than them. :lol2:

I think it's largely this, but I also think all the analysts and ESPN have basically coined Zion the anointed one (which he is) and everyone thinks that no one can beat Duke. When you couple that with it being Duke, I think everyone wanted to see them go down because of all the hype. UK gets the same treatment. I'd imagine many were thrilled they went down in 2015 and didn't get the 40-0.

Didn’t hurt my feelings one iota. I was breathing a huge sigh of relief when Wisconsin won that game. :lol2: :lol2:

I don't get as worked up about sports anymore because of that game against Wisconsin combined with the Jeremy Hill fumbling away the playoff win against the Steelers. Still want to see them win, but I just don't get worked up like I used to. They stole my joy lol

I feel you there. People don’t believe me when I say it won’t bother me if Duke doesn’t win it all. I don’t expect them to. I’ll be more sad about not being able to watch this team play anymore. I really loved this team.

Granted that doesn’t mean I won’t be petty if they win or sour if they lose but the emotions will be different because of my love for this team.

100% this.
