NCC 46 Raceland 27

Featured Replies

I want to give kudos to the Raceland Ram Pep Club. Throughout the season, they have kept the halls at school decorated beyond belief. Each week the process started all over for whatever opponent the Rams were facing. They helped organize pep rallies and also decorated the field, bleachers and fences. The football players stopped some of them last night and thanked them saying the pep club didn't realize how much that meant to them. I felt those boys showed real class, being gracious and thoughtful enough to thank those girls and boys that backed them every minute of every game and every week throughout their great season. As a parent of Ram athletes, I want to thank the football program for a great season. You gave us a great game each week. We love you guys. IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A RAM!

1. great effort by the Rams.

2. seems like NCC just wore them down with depth and that comes from coaching.

3. If Raceland has or is developing talent in their youth programs, they'll be a contender real soon.

4. Who will be the first team in that region to win the elusive regional championship?

5. EE, told ya!

I know the Rams have a tremondous feeder program and with the realignment next year and the talent of LCA and the Rams, either team is capable of making a run at the region. Speaking of realingment, this was probably the last meeting of the Rams and the Breds. Although the Breds dominated the series it's sad to see it end. I think both teams had a fair amount of respect for each other. Good luck in 2a next season NCC.

They could play a non-district game early or late next season.

They could but not likely, Raceland I believe still will have Ashland early in the season and have added Russell late in the season for next year.

Correct Oldrambler. The schedules are sometimes made up years in advance so a change is not easy to make.

NCC schedule is set for the next two years.

Maybe sometime in the future some of the "old" four class rivalries will meet in non district games.

I hope so.

I know the schedule for next year is set. Renewing an old intense rivalry with Russell as the last game of the season. A predistrict game with NCC would be good for Raceland. Our starters need more playing time to prepare for the playoffs. In most of the district games this year the 1st string Rams were on the bench in the 3rd quarter. This doesn't prepare us for the big games like we had Friday against NCC.

Does NCC still have Beechwood on their schedule for next year? I couldn't see them not scheduling them.

NCC will play Beechwood in Week 10 or 11. Tentatively the only other non-district 1A school is Bellevue along with 5A CovCath, 6A Ryle, 6A Conner, 6A Campbell Co., 6A Simon Kenton
