February 6, 20197 yr Heck of a move for Schiano. Go from the 72nd ranked defense in college football last year to the coordinator for the Super Bowl Champs who gave up 3 points to one of the best offenses in the league. In reality Schiano is a hell of a d coordinator.

At the end of the day Belichick has a huge say in what they are doing on defense still. So this is a chance to help his friend out and possibly keep a coach that may stay for awhile like Josh McDaniels has.

February 7, 20197 yr Schiano is always unjustly under fire. He is a heck of a football coach, but takes lots of heat because of a past relationship. Often times, people judge in order to be politically correct. It does not make it fair or right.

Often times, people judge in order to be politically correct. It does not make it fair or right. If you talk to former or current players they will tell you his scheme is very complex. He’s suited for the NFL where they have a lot more time to learn it.
