Gallatin County 77 Simon Kenton 74

Kelly was hounded all game. I was surprised to see 23 points.

Tough kid with excellent ability. I know SK beat Walton a couple weeks ago, and beat Grant County, but with this loss, it makes me curious if SK can in fact get out of this region. Still regular season, I know...

Trust me , they will, and I have no affiliation with SK.

What makes you so sure?

Winning three tough games 90 minutes from home is tough for anyone. Simon has as good of a shot as anyone. Simon will be in the region. They are the 1 seed and will easily handle Williamstown. Gallatin will be there. 1 seed and should win their first game vs Owen or Eminence. These two teams may meet again.

Teams that rely so much on one player generally don't put together runs in post season. Good defensive teams will make it hard on a team like SK.

Well, I'm going to back track now, I read your post wrong, I thought you said district. Actually I've never had SK picked as winning the region and I still don't have them picked.

SK is far from a one man show, you don’t average almost 80ppg with Niece averaging 24. Not an excuse at all but it is worth noting that Hensley and the backup PG were both out with injury.

I've never seen Hensley play much that he wouldn't be in foul trouble anyway.

Yes, but he has a physical presence they don’t have without him and that makes a big difference.

Hensley has a high work rate and does a lot of little things. He would have been a good match up to defend Coomer whenever SK switched to man defense. I do agree they missed him against Gallatin.
