Now, that is funny

Based on the clip, it looks like the Raiders will have a size advantage, but not by too much. I am aware of Murray, but what are the other Raider skill players. Offensively, what do the Raiders do best? worst?

Benke is the qb, Grey is the other half of the talented Raider rb tandem, and Uminger is the fg kicker.

The Raiders will look to establish the run and wear Meade down with Murray and Grey. Benke can throw, but it's not what they do best.

Ryle sounds similar to Meade then. Meade will use Ned Brown, Alex Furnival on misdirections and jet sweeps and will use FB Nick Stinnett for the grinding yards. Our passing game is effective, but rarely utilized to its fullest IMO. QB JL Cannady is not a real threat to run.

How deep do the Raiders go on the depth chart?

It may give you an insight (or it may not) into Ryle to know that thier head coach Bryson Warner is product of Boone County and played linebacker when the Rebels were in their run of producing fantastic linebackers and tail backs (Shuan Alexander was a Rebel) and played the field position game well. Their D-Coordinator, Mike Woolf, is a CovCath grad who also played linebacker and was one of the very best in a long line of solid run stuffing Colonel linebackers.

Ryle is not overly deep. I belive that Grey (db) and Murray (lb) play both ways.

I think Cannady is the difference maker. He torched Nelson County for over 300 yards a few weeks back and looked every bit as sharp as Blake Powers before Blake went off to Indiana. Granted, Nelson County is not Ryle, but it gives the Green Wave a dual threat that will prevent Ryle from stacking the box. Then it becomes a matter of turnovers and penalties, as usual.

Meade's real achilles is depth. Only 45 dress and only 18 or so will play. I agree Cannady can be a difference maker, but only as a passer. He doesn't possess the speed necessary to break the running game open.

Ryle has slowed some good pasing teams the past three weeks (Dixie twice and Campbell once). I wouldn't say that the Camels or Colonels were quick teams though. How is the team speed for Meade?

Individually, Alex Furnival (#3) has good speed. He'll be the returner and will be in the slot. Ned Brown (#26) has decent speed at RB. Stinnett (#30) the FB is 6'1" and about 230, no speed, but runs downhill and is a load to get down.

Team speed is modest at best. Meade is very disciplined, they play their lanes and do not beat themselves on defense, but speedster kids that can get outside quick give us big problems.

I have seen Ryle play a couple of times this year and I think they are a direct reflection of Coach Warner. They will beat you up. They are more than physical, they are angry linebacker physical. They play with an attitude that they will beat you up and then beat you on the scoreboard. They are tough as a team.

I think that Murry might be one of the best backs in the state between the tackles. He is very seldom tackled for a loss and he delivers the blow when he is being tackled. Scotty Gray will never take a clean shot, he can slide and move to where tacklers just get a glancing shot at him. He is smart. I think Murry is the key to Ryle, as he goes they go. They have a big O line but they are not built for speed. They open the holes and let the backs run. Not too many of them are going to be running down the field to make blocks.

Unless the wind is blowing, don't plan on running kick-offs back. Their kicker is very good and he is a good kid too. He might have close to 50 yd range.

As for the defense, see the first paragraph. Tough and physical. They make running teams pass and they make passing teams have shorter arms. It will take a balanced team to beat them that has a lead. As in the Boone Co game showed, they don't play well from behind. I don't think they get behind alot though in this game. Good luck to both teams and I hope this is the response Greenwaver was looking for.

I love the way no one is counting on Meade to be in this game. Trust me! Meade County is a tough program and they will give Ryle all they expect. Meade County wins! They have perhaps the best short passing game I have seen this year. They will not beat you deep, but the timing the QB has with his receivers is 2nd to none.

Depth will kill them then. Ryle is going to run the ball down their throat and Ryle is very deep.
