Okay. So I am late to the GoT party. Forgive me. I am on Season 3 Episode 5(second time through) and got to thinking. What are the greatest episodes of GoT?

 

For me, the episodes that come to mind immediately are(in no particular order):

 

 

And Now His Watched Has Ended(Season 3, Episode 4)

 

Winter is Coming(Season 1, Episode 1)

 

The Rains of Castamere aka The Red Wedding(Season 3,Episode 9)

 

The Battle of the Bastards(Season 6, Episode 9)

 

Those come to mind immediately.

 

Dragonstone, Season 7, Episode1 is another favorite. As is The Red Woman, Season 6, Episode 1.

 

It’s a long way until April. Let’s discuss.

No doubt. The first episode reeled me in but Baelor is the episode that got my emotions got involved and totally invested into seeing this through.

 

And hell yeah...Fire and Blood is when Danaerys became my second favorite character.

My favorite tertiary character is Lady Mormont, the Lady of Bear Isle. She’s what? Twelve? But wow! Great character and actress!

 

I also want to add Season 4, episode 9 - Watchers on the Wall.

My #1 is Arya Stark. I loved her from the jump and as the seasons have gone on my love for her has grown stronger.

It’s hard to even describe her evolution throughout the series. But yeah, she is ...phenomenal.

 

As I re-watch, it is constantly shifting for me. But there is just something about the “strength without steel” that Sansa Stark displays that resonates with me. Her evolution has been something to behold, too.

Truth. Sansa and Jamie both have evolved to where I couldn’t stand either one of them for seasons to where now I don’t want to see anything happen to them. They are both loved by me now.

 

Of course there is Jon Snow but I also love Tyrion Lannister as well.

Agreed with these two. If you read the books you knew what was gonna happen but it was still tough to swallow. Those two seperate GoT from almost every other show ever. Tower of Joy is my other favorite just because it was a massive thing that was hanging over us for a long time.

For me it's the Battle of the Bastards.

 

There are a ton of good ones though. And they're just as good rewatching them.

I just re-watched Battle of the Bastards and Dragonstone last weekend. Both of those are my favorites.

 

My favorite character is Tyrion Lannester handsdown. His evolution over the series is awesome. He goes from being just a drunk to saving Westeros from invasion to immediately being out of favor then eventually becoming the hand to the Dragon Queen. Second for me is Arya Stark. I have really enjoyed her character growth over the seasons.

He is certainly one of the ones that keeps cycling around to being my favorite. The actor that plays Tyrion does a phenomenal job, too.

I believe Daenerys is Jon's Aunt. Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, Rhaegar is Daenerys older brother.

And Lyanna is Ned Stark’s sister so Jon was never really Ned’s bastard and Catelynn treated him like crap when he was only the nephew anyways. Poor Ned never could tell her the truth.

 

And Jon is still a rightful heir to the throne over Daenerys if I am not mistaken.

The Spoils of War has become one of my favorite episodes now.
