AP Names Mark Stoops SEC coach of the year

Any bonus money for this in his contract? I believe I read somewhere that he's earned an extra $250,000 per game for his last 3 wins as contractual incentive compensation.

Very nice award for him and the program.

Very well deserved! Kentucky has had its best season in over 40 years and was a win against Georgia away from a New Years Six bowl for the first time in my life. Stoops was of course blessed with one of the best linebackers in America and a running back who gained mild Heisman buzz throughout the season, but I believe Kentucky's dream season rested in no small part on the shoulders of Mark Stoops. Congratulations to him.

Probably the best choice. Given a very favorable conference schedule, won nearly all the games he should have and threw in a couple of surprise wins as well.

They don’t ask me but he would have gotten my vote.

As long as we can agree that it should be called the Nick Saban SEC Coach of the Year award, I’m cool with Stoops winning this year.

Very deserved and congrats.

Very well deserved ! CONGRATS to Coach Stoops ! The man built, is still building the U.K. football program. Also a kudos to AD Barnhart for staying with Stoops when all of the Idiots in the media and message boards / social media were wanting Stoops gone.
