Reds will non-tender OF Billy Hamilton

Featured Replies

Assuming an average CF for 162 games next year, how much does the pitching staff ERA go up without Billy there? 0.05? 0.1? 0.15? More?

Hamilton had a DRS of 4 last season, so....Way way less. Over 162 games that comes out to about 0.025 runs per game.

I cannot understand why this young man could never master bunting and appeared to care less about adding it to his arsenal. IMO was his only chance to stay in the game longterm.

There were rumors the Reds were considering bringing him back on a cheap deal, I'm glad KC stepped in.

Niche player, his base-running is what really keeps him up. I’m glad the Reds moved on too, even though he’s fun to watch.

KC had a player a few years ago that was a late-inning replacement, Jarrod Dyson, who's game was built on speed. Maybe that's all they're looking at him for.

Believe that I saw that there was also a mutual option for 2020 in the contract too.
