Losing AJ and Butler and Pike and Lenihan and Dyer among others makes for a lesser offense this year. IMO

 

Losing Pike Schneider Dyer Butler Lenihan on defense lessens that side as well.

 

Guys have stepped up no doubt and they are good just agree trend is slightly down, but from a very high level. The combined personnel last year was amazing. Still looking better than anyone in 5A. The lower classes have done very well, so unknown if they can keep the train going. Not sure anyone looked at the class of 2018 their freshman year and saw domination by senior year. (With underclass help).

 

They don’t need a running clock this year to win the title, just one more point than SW. Last year seemed to create way too much emphasis on running clocks. Great streak but get the W.

I actually am a little surprised the gap isn't wider. To the thread topic about building a dynasty, this year's team isn't as good as last year's. Personally, I think next year's CCH team will not be as good as this year's. If that is true, the trend is going in the wrong direction for dynasty building. I think CCH gets back to back titles with the margin closer this year. Then next year, we'll see what the schedule looks like but the winning streak probably ends and the title is much more up for grabs.

 

You might be right there. The 2017 CovCath team beat Beechwood by 36 points. This year, CovCath only beat Beechwood by 35.

Agreed. This will be their toughest game in the last 2 years, and it isn't even debatable. All of Colonel nation will take a 1 point victory.
