I have been talking about going for two years....might be the year finally.

We have done both (the regular tour and the Christmas one). Loved both of them. I'd recommend going at least once. For the Christmas one, we did get there early though. I think we were the 5th or 6th car in line. It seemed weird going there when it was still daylight outside, but obviously once you're in the cave, it's all dark.

The earlier you come the better. I'd be there as close to five as possible. I'm not sure what kind of line there will be prior to it actually opening.

Weeknights are your best bet, weekends it can be a quagmire of traffic.

Nah, we got busy and it got too late to get up there. Wife really wants to go, so we may try again.
