I would love to see Grim vs. Clark vs. Miller (Rock).

Yes I would love to see the triple-threat handicap match live at Rupp. It would indeed get alot of hype television wise. They all should wrestle each other.

What game did you see Clark play in?

Before this turns into something it shouldn't this is all opinion.

Clark is bigger than Grim. There is no way of disputing that.

Clark is 3 yards from eclipsing 1,000 career recieving yards. He has great hands and again has the size to go over or screen defenders away from the ball.

Clark has the size and strength to lower a shoulder and just run through or over a defender. This is why he is so good on the goaline and in short yardage situations.

Grimm does have an advantage in speed I believe. Very quick through the hole and arms and legs in constant motion make it tough to get good contact on him. Also appears to be deceptively strong for his size.

I don't believe I said anything that wasn't true. Most Johnson Central fans are going to choose Grimm. Most Russell fans are going to choose Clark. Both are great football players.

I didn't say either one was better than the other.I haven't seen Clark play at all as Johnson Central has not played Russell. I find it hard to say one is better than another if I have not seen both. Clark may be the better of the two, I honestly dont know.

I just asked when you had seen Grim play. I just wondered if you had made your way down to Paintsville any time this season because Johnson Central has not played in the Ashland area at all this year. I just wondered what game you might have seen that you are basing your judgement on. It could have possibly not been one of his better games. I was just curious.

Personally I am not a homer in as much that I would not choose the one that I honestly felt was better. No one cant honestly say anyone is better than anyone else if have not actually seen both.

It is probably true that most JC fans would pick Grimm and most Russell fans would pick Clark (homerism). I would love to here more Ashland fans chime in on this. I realize that Clark is bigger and tough to bring down, but I doubt you will find anyone harder to bring down than Grimm. I have watched almost every JC game and you rarely see one man bring down Grimm and if you don't wrap him up you can forget it. I think both Beach and Blume were faster, but I have never seen a highschool back run with as much heart as Grimm. That's not to say he is better than Clark because I have never seen him play. If you think Grimm can't score in goal line and short yardage situations you have not seen him play. There is no secret he is going to get the ball on the belly in the 3 or the 5 hole and he will get his yards. Ashland was able to stop Blume for the most part. They had no chance at containing Grimm.

Very true.

The other him has 1440 yards rushing this season with 37 TDs. Great stats for both.

I never said Grim could not score in goal line or be effective in short yardage. The pyhsics though favor Clark. Both of these players obviously play with great determination and heart, to go along with athleticism to score as many TDs as they have.

Who's the better blocker? That's one of the things that sets apart good backs from great backs. I'm sure both of these two guys a great backs and neither team would trade what they have.

Clark is also coming off a 44 TD Junior year. 81 Tds and counting plus whatever he had his soph season.

This is Grimm's junior year. Clark's #'s are very good. Like I said before I have never seen him play. That's why I would like to here more from people who have seen them both. Grimm is the best I have seen in highschool. He reminds me alot of Greg Slone, who played for Paintsville in the late 80's. He plays for a much better team though. Which we all know is the key to being a GREAT back.

13 as a sophmore according to the Russell football website.

I would love to have them both. Very differant styles. Clark is a pounder that has good speed. Grimm is a lot smaller but can fly. Both are better than Blume IMO.

Both have great stats and we will never know who the best is but we agree that both are very good running backs.:thumb:

Grim is a great blocker...just ask Ron Blume....Grim spent most of his sophomore season blocking for him.

Last week Clark passe the 4,000 yard mark for his career. He now has a total of 4,121 yards
