November 18, 20187 yr What Ohio State is doing is really not all that different than what Oklahoma is doing. The Ohio State/ Maryland game is almost identical to the Oklahoma/ Oklahoma State game where OkSt would have won if their QB would have hit a wide open receiver. I’m fine with whatever happens to OSU in the rankings because we are playing like crap, but it’s not that much different than what Oklahoma is doing.
November 19, 20187 yr No chance Ohio State deserves a playoff bid no matter what happens with other teams. Why, because they did not beat The Citadel or UMass? I get it they did not play like a championship team. But if they win out (Big If) they deserve a shot at getting smoked by 'Bama.

But if they win out (Big If) they deserve a shot at getting smoked by 'Bama. You must have me mistaken for a Bama fan. But why do I think they don’t deserve a playoff bid? Because they got smoked by Purdue and have looked terrible in many other games. There is nothing they have done that says “playoff worthy”.

If Clemson, Alabama and Notre Dame win out that would mean it would come down to B1G Champ, Big 12 Champ, Pac 12 Champ or UCF. If either Oklahoma or Wash State win out I think both would be more deserving than Ohio State. Ohio State would have to look sensational against Michigan and in the B1G title game to have a chance, whereas Michigan just needs to win out in any fashion to make the playoffs. That's just my opinion.

Honestly at this point, with as bad as Ohio State has looked it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if it was 1 loss Ohio State vs 1 loss Washington State in the Rose Bowl. That way the winner of that game can claim all offseason about how they should have gotten the nod over Oklahoma after Bama waxes them. I’d rather have that play out. After everything that has transpired this season, I’d rather it end with a Rose Bowl victory than getting embarrassed against Bama.

Ohio State would certainly get in over OK. Everyone has this narrative of Ohio State because they assume Michigan will win the game. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Oklahoma and Ohio State are basically the same team IMO. Electric offenses, but horrible defenses. The biggest difference is the losses. Texas is a much better loss than Purdue. But besides that their resumes are very similar. Hell even in the last 2 weeks both teams went to overtime against a team with 5 wins and escaped with a win because the opposing QB missed an open receiver in the end zone. Neither of these teams is really great right now. Oklahoma vs Bama may be a fun matchup because OU may legitimately hang 50 on Bama and lose by 3 TDs. In the end I think if both win out OU gets the nod because they have a significantly better loss.
