Roman Reigns relinquishes Universal Title

Featured Replies

Roman Reigns laid the universal championship in the middle of the ring after stating that he has been fighting leukemia all his life and that it's back. He promised that he would fight it and come back to the WWE but for the time he needed to focus on his family and his health

I had no idea, how horrible.

I believe Roman!

Just awful. Here's to hoping Roman beats this again and comes back stronger than ever.

Pure class by everyone. WWE is like a big ol family. I sure hope he beats the hell out Leukemia and comes back and reclaims the Universal title. No I'm not a Roman Reigns guy but if he's gonna lose the belt, he needs to lose it fair and square and not have to relinqush it.

I'm not a Roman Reigns guy either, but I am now a Joe Anoa'i guy. He seems to be handling this with real strength, grace and courage. My prayers for him to kick the hell out of leukemia and come back to the WWE better and stronger than ever. May God bless him and his family.

I just finished watching it.

At the end when Dean and Seth came out it brought a tear to my eye too.

On tangent, I just finished telling a couple of other WWE Fans I didn't understand the latest plot line with The Shield and Dean Ambrose being anything but 100% loyal to his brothers.

From everything I have read, no one other than Vince, Triple H, & Roman himself knew what Roman's announcement was going to be until the day of.

Assuming that is true was Dean going to turn on the entire Shield or was Dean turning on Seth a new story line?

I think Dean can still maintain his character if we find out Seth was a bad boy again.

From what I understand, Dean was supposed to turn on The Shield, leading to a Wrestlemania 34 match with Seth, but then Dean got hurt and was out for so long.

When he came back, they tried doing that storyline again, with the plan of having Dean turn on The Shield sometime around Survivor Series. Roman's health expedited the storyline.

I like the turn assuming they handle it right. Could make Dean the best heel in the company.

I am cautiously optimistic. :lol2:

Yep, and with Reigns gone and Ambrose turning, they had to level the playing field a bit. Thus, Elias and Braun turning face.
