Who starts for Rose Hill 06-07 Year

Featured Replies

I will concur with Rickyp's analysis of seventh-grader Michael Terry. Add in Kyle Bush, Ryan Whetsel, and a couple of others of middle school age and Rose Hill's future looks good beyond the Euton-Jackson Era.

Two things to note here:

1. RickyP has no friends.

2. I have heard that Terry is good. Will have to make a point to watch him play.

I guess everybody should pack up and go home then. Looks like Rose Hill will win it the next 5-6 years. I am sure the kid is a good player, but alot of guys would be good or better "If" they grew to be 6'5.

Nah, I prefer 5 guys under 6'. Sort of slow, but very savvy! Pack it in and stall! Reduce the game to around 10 possessions per half! This new running up and down the floor, especially if you're 6'5" is silly!

With Terry, it's not a matter of "if" he hits 6'5", it's a matter of when. He has an uncle that is 6'6" or 6'7" and both grandfathers are in excess of 6'5". The genes are in his favor.

I used to have one, after reading this I don't anymore.:D

Stinger, I agree with you about the "if" thing. However, given Terry's current height and his genetics 6'5" isn't a reach. It's not like I am projecting the YAK to get down to 210 lbs. or anything. The Terry projected height is realistic.

Where is a mod when you need one? This thread is not about the Yak it is about RH and a starting five. I would like to see the Terry kid play, my sources tell me he can play and they are pretty reliable.

After watching Rose Hill JV get hammered 10-39 and varsity 49-81 in yesterday's scrimmage; and comparing notes to this thread, I can now put a few names with faces. There weren't any programs, rosters or PA announcer; but I have been able to sort out a few named in this thread. Starting yesterday for Rose Hill JV were:

10 (Johnny Bush I think, I recognized him from cross-country)

21 very smooth looking big man (almost too smooth, needs to be a little more agressive)

0

44

13

For varsity:

45 - Euton. Has the makings of a nice high school PF but got very frustrated yesterday when going against MC's defensive pressure

1 - Chad Jackson; who at least yesterday was by far and away the best that RH had.

52 - Chase Jackson; not surprised to read here that he is recovering from knee surgery as he was a bit tentative. Will improve as the season goes on, I'm sure, but the vast majority of his points will be from directly under the basket

32, 23 Only 1 basket 9 points between these two players yesterday; but they did draw a few fouls

33 also saw some action and did hit a 3-pointer in the game.

RH will have a very nice team in another year or two if these young men are all underclassmen. They were just overwhelmed yesterday by numbers and experience.

It will probably consist of three of the top one hundred players in the state. There is also a suprise, the best defensive player in the region.
Untill you played Mason Co.
