October 16, 20187 yr It pains me to even have to run through this scenario, but let’s say Michigan does beat Ohio State and that’s their only loss. Michigan wins the Big 10 with 1 loss. Let’s say Georgia wins the SEC with 1 loss and a win over undefeated Bama. ND has a loss, Clemson is a 1 loss conference champ, and Texas is a 1 loss conference champ. Who gets in besides Georgia and Michigan. Clemson is going to have the worst resume by far so I would eliminate them. Bama and Ohio State’s resumes would be pretty identical. Texas would have a conference champ in from of their name. I don’t want this exact scenario to play out because I want to Bucks to be undefeated, but this is the kind of chaos I’m looking for. I have a hard time thinking the SEC and Big 10 don’t both get 2 teams in. Could you imagine the intrigue building up to the selection day? I just got a headache after reading that.

Don’t blame him one bit. Going to be a top 3 pick. Sucks to lose what may be the best overall player in college football, but you have to do what’s best for your future. I expected this decision was coming at some point.

October 16, 20187 yr For the sake of conversation, if ND loses a game I believe they are done. - Texas or Oklahoma win the Big 12 with 1 loss - LSU loses to Bama but only has 2 losse - Georgia loses to Bama in SEC champ game and they have 2 losses. Who gets in? It has to be the Big 12 team doesn’t it? If Notre Dame loses, I think that the Big XII gets in, if with one loss. Two losses for a Big XII team likely looks worse than a loss for Notre Dame. It’s also all about who the losses are to in these scenarios IMO.
October 16, 20187 yr Depending on how everything shakes out, I wouldn’t totally discount UCF. Notre Dame and the Big XII helps them more than anyone else in that regard IMO.
