For pure awkwardness I have to root for Butler to be there next week and be introduced as a starter.

 

Having Derrick Rose start in his place is the worst.

I heard when they asked Jeff Teague about it he said that Jimmy is his friend and they are good.

I doubt Taj Gibson was mad either.

It’s clear he wants out of Minnesota ASAP.

 

He may have hurt himself today. His trade value went down.

 

Making sure Minnesota doesn’t get much in return for him! Veteran move.

In a weird way I hope Butler has a change of heart, stays with the team, and gets them to 50+ wins. With today’s stunt he wanted to bring to light the team doesn’t have the same passion and dawg in them that he has, and he is fed up with it and wants out of there. Thing is, we knew this already! That is why you were brought to Minneapolis! However, just because he is a competitor of the highest level, it doesn’t mean he is a good leader, or able to instill that passion into others.

 

RE: the interview. I was at work when I started reading tweets about him showing for practice and thought, “oh boy, here we go.” And it did not disappoint. How great would that have been to witness in person? With the interview itself it was classic Butler. I’m still perplexed because he is hyping himself on the angle that “you need me to win,” (well duh) but he has demanded to be traded weeks ago. You would think the TWolves initiated the trade talks with how he has reacted.

I was listening to a podcast about it and the hosts cracked a joke saying that Rose was probably practicing floaters on one of the side goals while Jimmy was talking smack to everybody. :lol2: :lol2:

I will give Rose props for last year. He found a decent role coming off the bench as the SF and did some good things. Starting now for the Wolves I fear we will get back to ball dominate D-Rose. Taking nausea medicine now.

I love Butler.....Wiggins and KAT are S-O-F-T

I have never viewed KAT as soft. Wiggins, on the other hand, is as passive at it gets.

Only thing Butler kept saying is how he was "brutally honest" but never said what that meant. Only thing I could come up with is that he wanted certain moves to happen (eg. moving Wiggins) and management didn't make it happen?

Good? Sure. Before Butler's injury they were in-line for the third seed in the West. While they finished 8th, they only finished two games behind Portland for that slot. Butler was injured (another common thing in his game) for about a month that cost them that seed. One could argue the third seed in the West was the third best team in the NBA. Now, Butler doesn't put them over the top as the roster was/is flawed in so many other areas, but they were definitely one of the better teams. I would say in the 6-8 range.
