The Colonels (6-0) had a week off to recharge their batteries. CovCath returns to action this Friday against perhaps the best team on their schedule. According to most polls, human and otherwise, Bishop Chatard (6-1) of Indianapolis is currently ranked #1 in Indiana's Class 3A despite suffering their first loss of the season last week to Winton Woods (OH). The Colonels took a comfortable 30-7 decision over the Trojans in Park Hills a year ago.

I think Covington Catholic wins, but I’m going to say no running clock in this one. I believe this is their best opponent so far.

Chatard's quarterback is a Ball State commit. Anytime you play a D1 qb, you need to be sound in the secondary.

By far the biggest test for CovCath in a while. Very interested to see how CovCath handles it considering they've never really been battle tested against tough 6A schools or elite greater Cincinnati teams since 2016. Looking forward to the Colonels proving they're the #1 team in KY!

Is 3A the biggest division in Indiana?

Not sure why you're asking but Bishop Chatard is currently ranked #6 in Indiana. I assume that's good?

No. Division 6 is the biggest class in Indiana.

In Ky, 6A is the biggest. In Ohio, Div 1 is. Just curious how Indiana measures teams.

CalPreps would rate Chatard 4th in Kentucky, behind CovCath, Douglass, and Male. They would be ahead of Mayfield, DeSales, and Boyle County.

Not sure who you consider an elite Cincinnati team (I'm guessing you mean a GCL South team or Colerain), but Kings would currently rank 5th in Kentucky. And CovCath put a running clock on them early in the 3rd quarter.

That was certainly a big win.

Who are Chatard’s big players other than the QB?

I was speaking vaguely but I was thinking elite like Moeller, LaSalle, St.X, Elder etc. I would consider Colerain to be above elite.

On offense:

QB Mark Nondorf 6'3" 205

WR Ben Schrage 5'10" 165

RB Daylen Taylor 5'10" 185
