Who are the front runners and dark horses now that we are 1/3 of the way through the regular season?

I think there is a core group that are leading right now.

-Tua

-Haskins

-Murray

-Grier

After that I think you can make the case Benny Snell is 5th right now. But I think there is a lot of separation between 4 and 5 right now.

I haven't seen those guys all play enough, but I don't for a second buy there are 4 guys more deserving than Benny Snell at the moment.

Dude's the best RB in college football, and with each passing week I think the gap is growing.

He should be in the conversation but he plays at Kentucky and is not a QB, so the odds are against him. They have to keep winning for him to have a chance. I think most of the nation just think he had a great game Saturday. Most of the nation hear he broke a few Kentucky records, well to them, it is Kentucky, not very relevant.

Just the way it is. It is a two way race between Tua and Haskins in my mind and Tua has a healthy lead at this point. Alabama with an elite offense is scary and Tua makes them elite.

You’re right you haven’t seen any of them play enough.

Don’t discount Grier or Murray. Whoever wins that game in Morgantown later this year will be in the conversation. But I agree it’s Tua’s to lose right now. There’s a bigger gap between him and Haskins than there is between Haskins and the rest of the field.

As good as Benny is, and he's damn good, he has zero shot to win the Heisman if UK doesn't AT LEAST play in the SEC Championship game.

That's unfortunate, because if he were at a Bama or UGA he'd probably be the front runner at this point.

It’s a QB award. That hurts Benny almost as much as playing at UK does.

No doubt, I don't expect him to win, I just think it's criminal that as of right now he's not in the discussion.

You’re right you haven’t seen any of them play enough.

You just said you haven’t watched them play. Only thing I’m telling you is to watch more football.

I understand family man. Family trumps football every time. Can’t fault you for that one.
