I am trying to understand why playing on Sunday is a problem. Like someone else said above, I would much rather the games be on Sunday than Friday.

Because of my work schedule the only game I could attend last year was the Sunday game and I loved it. I guess I am new school. I love championship games on Sunday afternoons. Church in the morning. Lunch after church with the family. Game at 2:00. I fail to see an issue other than folks just being old and afraid of a change in their routine.

Sunday is the Holy Day for most Christians.

 

Saturday (Sabbath) is the Holy Day for Jews.

 

Friday is the Holy Day for Muslims.

 

Does everyone see the problem with NOT having games on Sunday?

If I want to do something I am going to do it. People choose not to go on Sundays for whatever reason. I’m not buying that people can’t. If it ain’t old and afraid of change then what is it? Why can’t you go on Sunday? Because you don’t want to or what? Let me know.

My message wasn't meant to enflame, but I see it did. Not my intent to hit the nerve directly.

 

What if I told you I was a minister. My duties are to my congregation and community on Sunday's. I realize our society is different and it's a go to church to check the box and move on mentality these days. Whatever I say some won't agree and I'm fine with that.

Some don't put football before faith commitments is what I'm saying.

 

That is not to insinuate that you do not have that, but to think all are in your camp is blind as well. Not meant to inflict pain to you personally, but as a matter of fact.

For someone like me who likely will have to work on Friday and Saturday and unable to attend on those days the opportunity to still catch a game on Sunday appeals to me greatly.
