Please pray for this young boy with life threatening injuries. He lives just up the street from me.

 

 

The 4 year old boy was standing on the side of the road with his family when police say 18-year-old Jacob Heil struck the child with his car while driving east on Cooper. Jay Blanton confirms Heil is a freshman at the University of Kentucky.

This is so sad. I live on Cooper Drive and have a 3 1/2 year old little boy. When this story broke, I received multiple text messages and phone calls to see if it was my son. It was not, but my heart goes out to this young boy and his family.

Was talking to a friend of ours today and she said the boys father was from Henderson. Said she heard they may be close to having to decide about turning off life support. Can't imagine what they are going through.

No I haven't heard anything. We were told at church that he was from Winchester and then I realized who it was. I have seen him his dad and brother passing football in their front yard.

This is terrible.

Just heard the little boy has passed.

 

Prayers for his family and those that knew him.

The little boy, Marco Lee Shemwell, died on Monday afternoon at Kentucky Children's Hospital.

 

Thanks for all the prayers. The family really needs them now.
