Class "A" Predictions

You can throw Elliott County is the mix of mountains capable of an upset. If they can keep from getting upset in region, they could make some noise. The possibility of an Elliott County vs. Paintsville matchup is something to be excitied about, that would be a dogfight.

:thumb: Elliot will be very tough to beat not only in the 16th class A region but the overall 16th Region and Paintsville is always good.

Maybe they feel sorry for the other A schools since they are going to win the big region this year.Don't want to be a hog and win both in the same year.

That would be awfully nice of them:dancingpa

In terms of enrollment, how do the largest "A" schools stack up against the smaller "A". I guess what I am trying to say is who has the most and who has the least.

Also, does anyone know how the All A will shake down after the realignment for football changes. Will the enrollment cutoff change? Will schools that previously were in the All A be removed because there enrollment is too high to be considered Class A?

Doubtful anything will change regarding the All "A" requirements. The cut-off has remained the same from the inception at 425 maximum students in grades 10-12 (which can equate to nearly 600 in all four grades as most school's freshman classes tend to be the largest). Many current 2-A football schools are eligible for the All "A" tournaments in several sports!!

Thanks for the help, I didn't realize it was only for schools with less than 425 in grades 10-12. :thumb:

Elliott Co. will be tough to beat. Should be a great 1st round match up between them and Paintsville.

Elliott better not punch their state tournament ticket just yet. Rose Hill could cause them problems in the regional.

If Brossart does not win the tenth there should be an FBI investigation. As far as winning it all UHA will do that. They are loaded.

I think everyone in Elliott County relaizes that they have not won anything yet. And if they need reminded, they can just pull up the Fairveiw game from last years championship. Everyone that knows Rose Hill knows the trouble they could cause with thier size and ability to shoot the ball. But, I think the beat down they got last year will be a little more reaon for them to be ready to play every game, and play it to the best of thier ability.

I watched June Buchanan play this summer and think they could go far in the ALL A if they get there....

Just going by who is the favorite.

JBS-14th region

Paintsville- 15th region

This is the one championship that Paintsville has not been able to capture and I'm sure that Coach Runyon is going to do everything in his power to win this tourney. FYI- Paintsville is hosting the 15th Regional "All A" Classic this year so everything seems to be in line for the now experienced Tigers to make a run at it.
