August 29, 20188 yr Anyone watch this mini-series? Slow moving. Very dark. Seems like a show that you either hate or really like. I really liked it.
August 29, 20188 yr I keep meaning to start it, but I haven't been in the mood to watch something that dark lately.

August 29, 20188 yr It’s dark. Right. That's all I've heard from the few little blurbs I've read about it and from the two people I've had recommend it to me in person. I'm sure I'll get to watching it eventually.
August 31, 20188 yr I think it's called Sharp Objects. I finished this series and was pretty upset with myself for slogging through it because there really wasn't a payoff that made it worthwhile. Anyone else agree?
September 1, 20188 yr I think it's called Sharp Objects. I finished this series and was pretty upset with myself for slogging through it because there really wasn't a payoff that made it worthwhile. Anyone else agree? I thought it was brilliant. Truly. Amy Adams and Eliza Scanlen (Amma) were phenomenal in their roles. The end was the most stunned I've been watching a finale since The Sopranos. I think it boils down to whether you're more onion (like different approaches, think pieces, longer paces, etc) or tomato (like it cut and dry, simple, traditional). I'm a ridiculous onion...this was definitely in my wheelhouse. Loved the Led Zeppelin music -- especially at the end. My mind is STILL blown...
September 5, 20188 yr I thought it was brilliant. Truly. Amy Adams and Eliza Scanlen (Amma) were phenomenal in their roles. I agree with you that Adams and Scanlen were phenomenal with their roles. Form me, the story just never seemed to go anywhere and it dragged on. I have many questions about the ending. If you turned it off immediately at the beginning of the credits, you'd have missed the final few seconds of the revealing scene.
