Agree. Moretti has to get going Friday.

Who are some other RBs they can rotate in there?

I have so many conflicting thoughts on this game. There are so many different angles to take and really we won't know how they all blend together and the outcome until these teams are on the field.

For BG, they got a lot of cob webs cleaned up last Friday Night against a PRP team that from my view was quite down from last seasons stellar club. Was that BG making them look that way or the loss of significant players? Likely both. I look for BG to pass to set up the run. X will sell the house to stop Vito from running the ball on them. BG can still be balanced but they will need to be patient.

For X, lot of anxiety building. I can feel it all the way over here in St Matthews. They should have beaten Desales even though Desales is a very fine football team. Just getting the white elephant out in the open. So now your starting QB is scheduled to be back as I'm told, which would be HUGE for X from a confidence standpoint alone not to mention the young man is a fine player. But I don't think X can beat BG just throwing the ball. They are going to have to run it at least somewhat effectively to win this game.

The above is all barring turnovers as they clearly change the fabric of the game. In my gut, I feel X has the advantage. I know they do on the lines, but I don't think it is as much as last year and BG should have made that one a closer game stalling in the red zone several times and BGs lines improved last week. I also think BGs skill guys have the same advantage. Will Wallace use his lines to grind BG down? Thats not really his style that I have witnessed. But we will see. Looking forward to going to this one one more time. I just can't pick against the Purples in this one even though they are not the favorite. Hoping for no injuries for either team!

Jr. Logan Davis is back up to Moretti. He is hard runner.

Part of X running dificulty was DeSales stacking the box. One DeSales Coach said they were going to stack box because they knew back up was not as good passer. Don’t think you can do that with Sullivan in there so should be able to run the ball more effectively.

I think the Tigers will come out motivated after sitting on loss for two weeks. Bowling Green will come out motivated because their old coach on opposite sideline. Should be close game but I think playing at home is little bit of advantage. I like the Tigers by 3-7 points.

Spelling error.

BG’s QB has to make plays in the passing game to help take some attention away from Vito. I would image BG will use the screen to help the running game, but they have to stay ahead of the chains. What X’s defense has struggled with on defense in years past is playing soft coverage in 3rd down situations and teams pick up the first down when they should be off he field, BG gave X trouble with that last year as well. Should be a competitive game as usual, but I think this group of X players is better than BG’s group. Don’t turn the ball over and I think X will take care of business.

Don’t know why we didn’t see him against Desales.

Lots of short passes for BG as well as using 2 tight ends. I think other than who wins the turnover battle, the big hurdle for the Purples is, Can they get St X off the field? Long sustained drives with X o-Line can wear down a defense. If Purples can score 1 or 2 TDs early and get up on X, then the game will get interesting.

Regardless of who you pick, I think most folks see this as a 4th quarter game.

Go Purples

St. Xavier 20-19.

I think X is the better team but we'll see. The edge goes to Coach Wallace who should know what buttons to push Friday night.

BG - 28

X - 31

I expect and hope to see a completely different team than the one we saw against Desales.

X - 24

BG - 17

Does anyone have an update on QB Sullivan?

Sullivan will play.

Good news for St. X. Should be a great high school football environment tomorrow!

At the airport; heading towards Louisville. Can’t wait for tonight’s game, should be great one!
