Highlands 34 Campbell County 7

Featured Replies

On the very 1st play of the game, Huddleston made a stop after a 2 yard run, but watching the feed, I felt the hit. Nothing highlight reel, just a great stick 2 yards from the line of scrimmage where Highlands has struggled to get to the past couple of years. That was nice to see. He is going to be so good this year.

Heard the same thing this past week. Nice win over Cooper, but we'll see how good they REALLY are against Campbell County. Ended up causing 6 TOs and winning 34-7. CC didn't just give HHS the ball. This D is aggressive, hits hard, finishes plays, in great condition, and is going to cause turn overs all year because of it.

I'm not knocking Highlands but they were down at half and was given the ball alot in second half. All im saying is with that we still dont know where they are at yet. Next week we will know where they are at. Scott County is legit. I'm rooting for Highlands dont mistake that. Its all about are they good enough to beat CCH because at the end of the day that's the roadblock to getting back to championship football.

The answer to that question is a solid no.

Agree and you need to be good enough to beat CCH to win state. I'm pretty sure that's the goal in Ft Thomas.

I know Cov Cath is extremely good and well coached. But I sure hope Cov Cath keeps Highlands under the radar and believes they couldn’t possibly challenge them.

I’ve never really thought it was fair to refer to TOs as being given the ball. I can assure you the Camels were not planning it. TOs are a big part of a football game, they count.

Congrats to birds, they looked prepared. Camels were a very disappointing showing. I have heard for years this senior class is the best ever. Wonder if they are missing the seniors from last ywar now??

Agree...1 or 2 yes, but 6? Now your giving it away. Really good football teams don't give it up or should I say let another team take it away 6 times. TOs are part of the game but you have to agree that was the reason for the large margin of the victory.

Sure! But to me that is similar to saying “ah the score wouldn’t have been so high if they hadn’t scored all those TDs “ I’m a defensive guy so maybe I just kind of take it as dismissing an important part of the game.

The birds are nowhere near championship caliber. Camel has no running game or passing. Just turnover after turnover.

They are called take aways for a reason.

I love this stuff man. “We’ll see how good the birds are when they play the Camels “ Beat the Camels by 20...”Camels are terrible “

Congratulations to the Birds. They played a great second half. Camels with a first year QB. So I have to give him a bit of a break, as well as the Birds QB. He had a pick, and a few poor throws. Both will be fine I believe. IMO, Camels QB needs to work on vision, and where his vision is directed. I could tell where he was going with his passes from high in the stands..... However, Camels have to quit carrying the ball in one arm while there are three or four guys trying to strip the ball. Even after the fumbles, I still saw one armed ball carries. Unexcusable in my opinion.

As you stated Cov is too well coached for that to happen. This is Cov Caths year again barring any major injuries.

Sounds good to me. The Camels beat a bad Dixie team.
