Who wins this matchup? Can Raceland go into the Dawg Pound and get the win? Can Lawrence get payback to avenge last year?

Lawrence was possibly the hardest hitting team I saw Raceland play last year. But didnt have the horses, especially upfront, to keep up with Raceland for 4 quarters. That being said, Raceland returns an entire backfield and 3 of 5 starting lineman. So I think the game may be closer that last year, but Im still going with Raceland by 2 scores.

Rams 28

Dawgs 14

From what I'm hearing, LCHS should be pretty good. The Bulldogs are always tough and playing them in their "Dawg Pound" makes things that much tougher. Every Raceland / LC game is hard hitting, both teams filled with tradition and pride. Just good high school football. I'll take the Rams in a close one.

31-29 Raceland.

Lawrence County got off to a rough start in this game last year and put themselves behind the eight ball early. That can't happen again if they want to stay in this game. Noah West is a load, and I look for him to get his yards again, just like he did last year. But the Dawgs were too one dimensional in 2017. Even the slightest hint of a passing threat would be an improvement.

If Lawrence is "all in" on the run, I think Raceland takes care of business in workmanlike fashion, somewhere in the 35-14 range. But if they could generate some sort of consistent passing game, just enough to keep Raceland honest, this could get interesting.

A key position group to keep an eye on is Raceland's D-line. The Rams had to replace a couple of workhorses from last year.

West and LC's size will cause some problems, but Raceland is the best team

This is so appropriate in this game. In order for our defense to work, we have to play assignment defense. Read your key and "DO your job".

I was looking at the poll voting on this one and there is one poster that picks against Raceland, regardless of the opponent each week. That is certainly their right and nothing wrong with it …. Given the results / record of that pick, I like our chances. Thank you, c21 :D

Rams down a running back this week?

@Coupon21 wouldn't pick Raceland if we were playing ISIS!
