Sounds like he will be the backup to open the season. The true freshman walk-on, Annexstad, won the job. Fleck said he expects Tanner to see some action this year.

 

Walk on had offers from Pitt and UC.

 

He’s from MN. Played at IMG. Was a backup to 4 tar kid who committed to Rutgers. Beat him out half way through the season.

Not your typical walk on at all. From IMG, had other Power 5 offers, was allowed to enroll early and participate in Spring ball. He was a 3 star recruit. Not a slam dunk, 5 star guy coming out of high school, but definitely a guy with some talent who can play at a really high level. He's got a resume most walk ons don't have.
