Has to teach the line to block and receivers to catch I hope he doesn't have to run like this the whole season

I did notice a number of dropped balls that hit the receivers right in the face. I like the attempt at at the speed option with J. Lee though. I have a feeling he is going to do alot of scrambling.

In the words of Aaron Rogers....Relax. I have never been a fan of "controlled scrimmages" which is what I believe this was. It's early and there is still a lot of prep work for both teams. Things will begin to take better shape this week for both as full blown scrimmages begin by weeks end. I am sure the Cooper staff doesn't envision JL simply taking off and running every play nor will he have to IMO. Cooper should be improved over last season but it's still too early to tell just how much. The team was extremely young last season but still managed to finish 2nd in the district (albeit only having 3 teams) and should see an improvement as several young players saw significant action just a year ago.

If Trinity struggles to beat Ryle, or indeed drops the game to Ryle, then it will be a long first half of the season. If Trinity wins in a blow out, then things will be just fine for the Rocks.

This echo's my thoughts as well. That experienced gained last year will definitely help.

Nothing on this match-up coming up? I really think this could be a good game if Cooper has it's main guys back. Cooper seems to be trending in the right direction and Ryle seems to be struggling to find themselves.
