Daniel Neeley has been ruled by the KHSAA to be eligible to play for Owen County this season. The former Owsley County point guard would have been a top 5 player (imo) in the 14th region this year, so this is great news for the 8th region school. Neeley is a super 3 point shooter, good ball handler, and floor general. I just wish he'd stayed with the Owls this year. He averaged 20 ppg last year. He's a player.

They were misinformed. The kid is a player, and i don't see anybody stopping him from playing his senior season.

Glad he did. I was really impressed when I saw him play last year. Class act off and on the floor. He has great floor vision, he is very unselfish and makes great passes. Good shooter too. Great addition to the Owen Co program.

Good for Neeley. He is a good player and I was very impressed with his 3 point shooting. He would be a great addition on any bodies team.

I believe he quit the Owsley Co Owls this summer and went to Owen Co to be with his family. I don't know what the rule is on transferring from one county to another but I believe those are the facts.

I BELIEVE his dad was already there and he was living with family in Owsley where his dad had formerly lived. He had stayed in Owsley and simply decided to go live with his father or something like that. I'm fairly certain his family didn't move but the Professor can be more specific.

He was living with his uncle in Owsley and moved to Owen to live with another uncle. That's about all I'm going to say about it.

Daniel is a great kid. I hope he has alot of sucess on the court in Owen County. But all of his on court accomplishments cant even come close to this kid off of the court. He is an honor student and a leader. Good luck to him.
