October 27, 200619 yr I will give "the genius" credit for one move and that was benching Rolen. Since that night the guy has been the best hitter in the postseason. Too bad a manager we all know doesn't have the _____ to bench Dunn and a few more to see if that would work for him.
October 27, 200619 yr It's been average. The Tigers bats aren't that good.Often times, pitching can affect hitting. I think it's been good and the Tigers probably still have 26± hits in the 4 games. Doing the little things, or lack thereof has been the difference in this series so far.

October 27, 200619 yr So if the Tigers force Game 7 you have to throw Reyes vs. Robertson? I don't like the decision by "the genius" to throw Weaver tonight. I say throw Reyes on full rest in Game 5, then you have Weaver and Carpenter on full rest for 6 and 7. No way the Tigers would win all 3 vs. them ALL on full rest. Its the World Series you got to go with your best. I know Reyes pitched good in the first game, but I wouldn't expect the same result again. You want to try to put the team away now and not give them a chance to get back in this thing. I think he has made the right decision pitching Weaver tonight, and so this way Carpenter can go in game 6 if needed, and then Suppan would be able to go in game 7, and Im sure Weaver and Carpenter would be willing to help in game 7 if they are needed also...Its the World Series you got to go with your best, so I agree with the decision....

So if they do that would be 2 days rest on the off day, then on game 6 with Carpenter pitching that would be 3 days rest for Suppan correct?
