Just a thought... if one drafts a player from the 7th round on the previous year.

Wouldn't it be fair if they lost their 2nd round pick instead of the first round?

If one drafts a guy in 8th round and wants to keep him. If that's the only one he keeps he would lose his 1rst round pick. To me it would be more fair if they just lost the 2nd pick. If it's a 3rd round pick they want to keep then it would cost them a first round pick.
