Top 5 players in your Region

Featured Replies

Okay--

I say that you have to have the following in there:

Hagar from EJ

shane Iseral from Lex cath

Jordan Kramer from Highlands

Ammons form Franklin Co.

Seth Gordon form South Oldham

And a tie with Gordon is Smith from Grant Co.

IS that better for you now.

Looks good to me, but I think the CCH fans might want to tweak it a little.:D :D :D

I agree Cov. Cath has some great players, #8 TE is awesome and so is the kicker, he is the real deal. The defense has some great guys as well #30 and #58 the NG are really good.

The Lexington/Mountain 4A region has a lot of good players but some that standout to me:

Chase Minnifield, Clark Jeter Henry Clay

Ty Sparks Tates Creek

Ricky Rhodes Madison Central

Cody Andrews Scott County

Shawn Asher North Laurel

Braxton Miller and the other RB from Lincoln County

I don't know much about Lafayette or Woodford Co. but I posted on those that I have seen play. These are just some of the best skill players in 4A Region 4 when not considering lineman.

Clint Green of GRC needs to be mentioned too.

When you talk about NKy if you include Grant County into it their QB is got to be in the top 1400 plus yards passing and over 300 yards rushing with 19 TD's this year He has played well I agree with all your picks they are all well deserving just like this young man, I have been impressed watching him this season. For the beating he takes some times he keeps getting up and leading his team. I think that you also have to say Hitchew from Dayton is a very good player this year and you have to look at The kicker from Cov. Cath. that kid is amazing just my opinions as well. I also think that the A region 2 is loaded with talent. Hard to beleive with such small schools they can have that much talent in them.

The Grant County QB has some great numbers; however, his numbers will be up since he stays in at QB when the opposing team has their 2nd and 3rd strings playing.

These are some really good players, but I think you have to include Revere (LexCath), Caldwell(LexCath) and Bovard(CovCath) in this group. Revere may be the best player in this region. He is the best defensive back and kick returner with 7 returns for touchdowns.

If Cov. Cath and LC are able to advancd to the region final, we will have a rematch between the arguably the best reciver and the best DB in the state. Bovard vs. Revere round two. Great matchup to watch last time.

AA Region 2

In no order:

Marcus Patterson Casey County

Justin Collins Western

Ronnie Darden Western

Justin Thurman Larue County

Clint Cashen Corbin

Jared Prewitt

Thats 6 also.....

Can't really speak to the region but heres a few from the district I follow:

Ross Deaton and John Cole from Somerset (wow what alot of talent here!)

Joe Rosskopf - Lynn Camp (Tough Hard running stud)

Thomas Frazier and Aaron Root - Williamsburg (Frazier has a cannon arm, and Root is Hard nosed at FB and LB)

The Lundy kid at Harlan (tough and smart)

I wish I knew the FB's name at Evarts but this kid runs the trap as well as any HS kid I've seen in the past 25 years.

NKY 4 A

Scott Gray -Ryle

Cory Farris - Boone

Steve Brown - Campbell County

Vince Murray - Ryle

Brandon Griffin- Campbell County

Just my opinion, in no particular order

Braxton Miller and the other RB from Lincoln County

The other RB is Trent Calhoun.

Region 2 is just flat out loaded. Here is a potential list:

1. Wenquel Graves, Bardstown. This is Bardstown's best athlete.

2. Antoine Robinson, Frankfort. Didn't see him this year, saw him last year against Bardstown and remember thinking, geez, he's comin' back?

3. Kaylin Williams, Bethlehem. He has more overall physical tools than Jackson.

4. Xavier Bacon, Fort Knox. Best player in the state that noone has ever heard of. You try getting those numbers behind that line.

5. Darren Ross, Danville.

Here's another 5: Kelvin Scott, Bardstown; Billy Jackson, Bethlehem; E.J. Fields, Frankfort; Ronnie McDermott, Holy Cross; Jeff Guest, Danville.

And another 5: Rashaun Phillips, Bardstown; Paul Downs, Bardstown; Blake Stanley, Bethlehem; Leonard Macon, Danville; Josh Smith, Frankfort.

I usually think you are on top of it Hearsay but I was not impressed with Bacon. I understand alot of his yardage has came against 2nd and 3rd string units as Knox was getting blown out. He was not impressive against Bethlehem. They had 3 kids on defense that were faster than him and much bigger. I know he is young but he looked like a JV player when compared to Jackson and Stanley.

Donte Gay, Aaron Boyd, Grant Devinney- Henry Clay

Logan Bunch - Lafayette

Trenton Fields - Woodford Co.

Zack Warmouth - Dunbar

Jimmie Warren - Scott Co.

I think Jake Elliots name needs to be mentioned in this...he really has spear-headed a very good Lincoln defense
