Congrats to the Cru.

What a tremendous win for the St. Henry Girls Volleyball team. After graduating their tremendous class of Seniors last year, this team was left for dead and everyone assumed NDA would "reclaim" their title.

 

Ooops...someone forgot to tell The Lady Cru that!

This game was one of the most exciting games I have watched at the HS level.

 

Congratulations to St. Henry. They peaked when it counted. SHDHS coaches should get plenty of credit for putting together a game plan that took advantage of the very few weaknesses NDA had.

 

I'm sure the NDA girls are upset with the loss, but they have a great deal to be proud of. After getting beat the first game, they battled back and won the second game pretty convincingly. The third game, St. Henry had a 10 point lead at one time, and NDA fought back and made it a real "nail biter" getting within 2 points at 24-22 before St. Henry took game point.

 

Both teams showed alot of class as they are all good friends. Many of the girls on these two teams will be suiting up again as teammates as club season starts next month.

 

Looking forward to a couple more years of these types of battles.
