GrantNKY Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 Let’s Go!!! Buckeye basketball is back!!!
newarkcatholicfan Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Glad someone else started a thread on the Buckeyes. (Ohio State) Down a starter(his on fault) Down 14 points with 10 minutes left Kaleb Wesson(Westerville,Ohio) scores zero points and on the bench, with 4 fouls. Never thought I would ever say this after last year, Bench scoring Ohio State 18 Purdue 0. (Purdue) 21 Game home winning streak 17 game winning streak longest in the country Both streaks broken Leading the Buckeyes with 18 points was,Keita Bates-Diop(Normal, Ill) backing him up with 13 points, in his 2nd career start was,Andre Wesson(Westerville, Ohio)Jae'Sean Tate(Pickerington, Ohio) and Freshman Musa Jallow(Bloomington, Ind), who had not scored in his last nine game both had 10 points. The Buckeyes only shot 42.9% from the field, compared to 41.7% for Purdue. Leading Purdue with 28 points was,Carsen Edwards(Atascocita, TX) 7 foot 2 inch,Isaac Haas(Hokes Bluff, AL)had 18 points but only 3 rebounds. For the game Purdue, the much bigger team won the battle of the boards 29-26. The Buckeyes hit just 6-18 threes, while Purdue connected on 8-20.
newarkcatholicfan Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Ohio State actually won the battle of the boards 31-30. The other site I was looking at, had not been updated as quickly as usual.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I don't think anyone saw this season coming for the Buckeyes. Chris Holtman has to with Big 10 COY and maybe for the whole NCAA.

No doubt. From not even making the NIT to being a probable top 10 team by early February is just unbelievable.
GrantNKY Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 Oh come on @TheDeuce a dislike for being excited about OSU basketball being relevant again?
UKMustangFan Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Makes you wonder how they would've done these past few years had Matta stepped away sooner....
Randy Parker Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Chris Holtman has to with Big 10 COY and maybe for the whole NCAA. No doubt.
John Anthony Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I don't think anyone saw this season coming for the Buckeyes. Chris Holtman has to with Big 10 COY and maybe for the whole NCAA. OSU stumbled into a rising star HC. He has very little talent to work with this year.
John Anthony Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Let’s Go!!! Buckeye basketball is back!!! You know Deuces game by now, same track on repeat. Lol
GrantNKY Posted February 8, 2018 Author Posted February 8, 2018 OSU stumbled into a rising star HC. He has very little talent to work with this year. They won a game last night against a top 3 team in the country with Andrew Dakich playing significant minutes. That’s astonishing.
John Anthony Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 They won a game last night against a top 3 team in the country with Andrew Dakich playing significant minutes. That’s astonishing. He was the backup option for coach too lol.
TheDeuce Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Oh come on @TheDeuce a dislike for being excited about OSU basketball being relevant again? Prisoner of the moment. :lol2:
broadcaster240 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Got to be in Mackey Arena last night. Ohio State played some awesome defense against a team that can beat you offensively in different ways. After the game, the Purdue players slowly walked completely around the floor...giving high fives and fist bumps to the fans. Haas even stayed longer...signing autographs. Then, this video was posted of a post-game locker room event involving a 10-year-old with cancer. It was an honor meeting 1-year old... - Purdue Men's Basketball
