February 2, 20188 yr I Just finished the 1993 semi vs Michigan for the 1st time since I was 11. I knew Mashburn fouled out but I had forgotten the lead the Cats had in OT. Totally bummed and I'm 35 now. If Mashburn does not foul out they win that game. Michigan had no answer for him in that OT and the minute he commits that fifth foul their whole demeanor changed. I don’t know if they would have beat UNC because Dale Brown was hurt but with Brown they would have won.
